Return and shipping Policy

All returns must be approved by JL Welding Supply Returns and must have an RMA # issued by the responsible department.

 

  • 14 Day Return Policy:

JL Welding Supply accepts returns of any merchandise provided that it is in its original packaging and has not been used or altered in any way within 14 days of receipt of an order. JL Welding Supply also reserves the right to refuse the return of any special or custom ordered item. An RMA number must be issued by a JL Welding Supply representative and credit will be issued upon receipt and inspection of the merchandise by JL Welding Supply. A restocking fee of up to 25% may be applied to special, custom or out-of-stock merchandise. The merchandise must be returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition and must be shipped at the customer's expense and insured for the value of the merchandise. (Please do not put any postage, write on, or alter in any way the original packaging of the merchandise manufacturer). If the item is returned in non-sellable condition, JL Welding Supply reserves the right to not issue credit or a return to the customer. Once an item is used, we do not accept returns. JL Welding Supply reserves the right to refuse any return. All demonstration equipment is final sale. No refunds will be issued for demonstration equipment.

The customer is responsible for any damaged or lost items sent to JL Welding Supply as a return. For any machines returned, we recommend packing in two boxes to avoid any additional wear/possible damage to the machine during the return to us.

  • Shipping Costs:

While we at JL Welding Supply strive for accuracy, we acknowledge that human errors may occur. In case you receive the wrong or defective merchandise, kindly inform us immediately and we will rectify the situation at no cost to you. We will send the correct items along with a return label for shipping the incorrect items back to our warehouse if required. However, please note that we cannot issue refunds for shipping or cover shipping costs on return items under any other circumstance.

  • Damaged Goods:

We make every effort to ensure that your package arrives in perfect condition. However, there may be instances when your merchandise arrives damaged during shipping. Once the product leaves our warehouse, it is the responsibility of the delivery company to ensure safe delivery. If you receive a damaged item, please inform us within 24 hours and if possible, refuse delivery of the item from the delivery service. In case the damage is not visible until you open the package, please document all damages and contact us within 24 hours. We will take all necessary steps to replace your merchandise promptly and handle all claims with the delivery service.

  • Exchange Returns:

We are happy to process exchanges at JL Welding Supply. However, all exchanges must be authorized with an RMA # by one of our representatives. The items returned must meet our return criteria of being in a resalable condition when returned to JL Welding Supply. Once we receive and inspect the items, the exchanged items will be sent out to the customer. All shipping costs associated with exchanges are the responsibility of the customer.

  • Product Warranties:

All products that come with a manufacturer's warranty are covered for the specified amount of time in the manufacturer warranty. Any requests for warranty repairs should be directed to the product manufacturer. All technical inquiries and/or warranty troubleshooting should be addressed to the manufacturer as JL Welding Supply is a distributor of the product.

  • Defective Machine:

If you receive a machine that has a defect out of the box or develops a defect within 14 days, please contact JL Welding Supply immediately. You have two options:

Locate the nearest authorized service or warranty repair facility for the manufacturer of the purchased machine and have it repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines. For assistance in finding the nearest authorized repair center, contact the manufacturer of your machine/part.Contact JL Welding Supply for an RMA #, and ship the machine back to us for a new machine of the same model. You will be responsible for any freight charges back to JL Welding Supply, and the new machine must be in the original packaging. We will not ship a replacement machine until we have received, inspected, and verified that the original machine is defective. If we determine that the machine is not defective or is not in the original packaging, we will return it at your expense.

  • Credit:

We will not issue any credit until we receive and inspect the returned item (with approved RMA #) at JL Welding Supply. Once received and inspected, the credit for the return or exchange will be made using the payment method selected by you. Please allow up to 7 days from the date the returned merchandise arrives at our warehouse for a credit. We will not issue any credit for shipping costs on returns unless the return is due to an error caused by JL Welding Supply.

 

  • How to Process a Return:

Check Your Package – All returns must be in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING, as well as in a resalable condition. You must include all packaging materials, manuals, gauges, accessories, warranty cards, and documentation that were originally sent with the item. If the returned package does not meet the above guidelines, JL Welding Supply reserves the right not to honor the return.

To ensure a hassle-free return process, JL Welding Supply requires all returns to be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA #). To obtain an RMA # and any other necessary return information, please contact us at (650) 229-3605.

  • Ship Your Return: 

When shipping your return, we recommend insuring the package for the purchase price of the product to protect against loss or damage during transit. We suggest using UPS for traceable shipments and proof-of-delivery to guarantee safe delivery. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable, and JL Welding Supply is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages. To ensure that your machine and its packaging are not damaged during transit, we suggest double boxing the original packaging.
